Doug Coleman brings more than three decades of public service experience in municipal leadership, state government, and the judiciary. A Mesa native, he served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019, representing District 16 and chairing the Government and Higher Education Committee. His legislative work emphasized responsible budgeting, infrastructure planning, and long‑term economic development.

Coleman previously served as mayor of Apache Junction from 1995 to 2007, becoming the longest serving mayor in the city’s history.  His tenure focused on sustainable growth, transportation access, and regional collaboration. He also served multiple terms on the Apache Junction City Council.

From 2019 to the end of 2022, Coleman served as the Justice of the Peace for Pinal County Precinct 6. 

Coleman holds a bachelor’s degree in Business, Office, and Distributive Education from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in Vocational Education from Northern Arizona University. 

Doug and his wife Roxanne are the proud parents of 6 daughters and 20 grandchildren.
