Jenny Howard

Jenny was appointed December 2022 by Governor Ducey.  

She currently serves as Mayor of the Town of Thatcher and has been a member of the Town Council since 2018. 

Jenny retired from the City of Safford in 2018.  During her 14-year tenure with the city she held the positions of Public Works Director and Utilities Director.  

She is a past board member on the Gila Valley EMS Council ,  the Freeport McMoRan Community Investment Council, Graham County Chamber of Commerce and past president of the SEACAP Board.

Jenny and her husband own two thriving businesses in Safford of which Jenny also operates.

“I am honored to be appointed to the ADOT Transportation Board because I feel I have more to give, I want to continue to share the experience and expertise gained throughout my career.  My focus has been infrastructure; planning, capital improvements and maintenance. During my first term on Thatcher Town Council I was able to guide Council through the implementation of a 5-year capital improvement plan and a 10-year streets maintenance plan for the Town. I have a passion for infrastructure and look forward to working with the Board and representing Graham, Gila and Pinal counties.”
