Jenny Howard

Jenny was appointed by Governor Ducey in December 2022.  

She was elected to Thatcher City Council in 2018 and is currently also serving as Vice Mayor.  She is a past Graham County Chamber board member and currently serves as president of the Southeastern Arizona Community Action Plan governing board.  

She is a board member on the Gila Valley EMS Council and a member of the Freeport McMoRan Community Investment Council.    

Jenny retired from the City of Safford in 2018.  During her 14-year tenure with the City she held the positions of Public Works Director and Utilities Director.  

Jenny and her husband own two thriving businesses in Safford of which Jenny also operates.

“I am honored to be appointed to the ADOT Transportation Board because I feel I have more to give, I want to continue to share the experience and expertise gained throughout my career.  My focus has been infrastructure; planning, capital improvements and maintenance. During my first term on Thatcher Town Council I was able to guide Council through the implementation of a 5-year capital improvement plan and a 10-year streets maintenance plan for the Town. I have a passion for infrastructure and look forward to working with the Board and representing Graham, Gila and Pinal counties.”
